TRAPDOORS
| A trap door or “back door” is a hidden software or hardware mechanism included by the author of the software that permits system protection systems to be bypassed. It typically is activated in an obscure (random) manner, such as a universal password that gives unhindered access to all files on a system. (IC)

I.E., Files may be destroyed whenever Friday the 13th occurs (IC).

contains additional (hidden) functions that surreptitiously exploit the legitimate
authorizations of the invoking process to the detriment of security. For example,
making a “blind” copy of a sensitive file for the creator of the Trojan Horse.
